THE ATTORNEY BEHIND THE ADVOCACY
Enrico A. McCleary II is a dynamic young attorney and entrepreneur.
Mr. McCleary received his Bachelors of Science from the Coppin State University Honors College in 2008 with a concentration in Political Science. The following summer Mr. McCleary successfully sat for the LSAT Examination and completed The Charles Hamilton Houston Summer Law Institute at Georgetown University Law Center. After receiving his Juris Doctor in May of 2011 from the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, Mr. McCleary went on to become a member of both the Maryland State Bar in 2012 and Virginia State Bar in 2013.
In Law School, Mr. McCleary accumulated a host of accomplishments. He was member of the Black Law Students of America (BLSA) 2008-2011; serving as the “Social Chair” of the organization, and participating in the Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition and Frederick Douglass Mock Trial Competition. He was also a member of the Penn State Center for the Study of Mergers and Acquisitions 2009-2011; his efforts contributing to the 2011 Publication of, “A Treatise and Desk Book on International Mergers and Acquisitions for Attorneys.” In 2010, Mr. McCleary clerked for the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance. In 2011, Mr. McCleary returned to the US Environmental Protection Agency to Clerk in the Office of the Administrator under the tutelage of the USEPA Administrative Law Judges.
In October of 2012, Mr. McCleary founded a law firm, The Law Offices of Enrico A. McCleary II Esq. LLC in Rockville, Maryland. Mr. McCleary’s law firm focuses on Minority Business Development, Environmental Justice Disputes, Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, , and Sports and Entertainment Law. The firm services an array of clients ranging from individuals involved in local domestic disputes to international corporations involved in major trans-global business development. In addition, Mr. McCleary completes more than 50 hours per year pro bono servicing Maryland families in need of assistance dealing with domestic litigation (Divorce, Child Support, Child Custody/Access, Protective Orders, etc.…)
In June of 2014, Mr. McCleary founded EDM Management LLC a sports and entertainment management company. EDM Management LLC primarily manages and represents male and female professional basketball players in international professional basketball leagues operating under the umbrella of Federal International Basketball Association (FIBA). In addition, EDM Management LLC produces the annual “A’s B’s & 3’s Celebrity Basketball Showcase” at various locations throughout the State of Maryland during the back to school season in order to help community organizations fundraise for existing programs as well as get the youth of the community excited for the upcoming school year. In July 27, 2013, EDM Management LLC organized and produced a youth basketball camp at the Beijing International Stadium, Beijing, China and featuring James Harden of the Houston Rockets.
In 2012, he set out to build something different, a practice defined by personal attention and real commitment to the people he represents, rather than a revolving door of case files and billable hours. That vision continues to shape how he practices law today. He believes every client deserves to be heard, informed, and treated with respect, regardless of the complexity of their case or their ability to pay top dollar for representation.
